Every time I look out my store windows and realize that I'm sitting in the middle of Cave Creek, Arizona. It's always been a dream of mine to live in Arizona and to own my own gift shop, but honestly, I never knew if I could be brave enough to make either a reality. When I moved to North Phoenix from Montana, I fell in love with Cave Creek, and I found myself visiting as often as I could. I'd start my day with a hike, then stop to browse the unique shops, and finally end up sipping a cup of tea on the patio of one of the amazing local restaurants. My kids would joke, "If you're looking for Mom, she's up in Cave Creek." It felt like home in a time of change and the people I met, like my new family and friends.
Meanwhile, I was struggling to refigure my career. The past 25 years raising a family and helping build the family construction business, had come to a close, and it was time to either go to work for someone else, go back to college, or start something of my own with the skills I already had. Over the years, I had done gift baskets as a second income and had earned certifications in interior design, floristry and life coaching. Now that I've opened Gift Gal, I can use all of these in numerous ways - all from a place I love to be.
When you walk inside the doors of Gift Gal, you will find a unique mix of home decor, gift baskets, artwork, jewelry, gifts and floral. We offer gift wrapping and floral and decor services for special events. The theme of Gift Gal is "You are..." I lived too long where I often felt "You aren't" so, a big part of my purpose is to spend the rest of my life reminding myself and others what a gift we each are to this world. I often say, "You are a gift, and you have a gift that other around you need."
My vision for the store is to be a place where you come find the perfect gift and, more importantly you leave knowing that you are one.

Aside from her love for home, Gift Gal has a special place in her heart for encouraging women with the truth of their worth, purpose and capabilities. "You Are" gifts were created to spread truth to women across the world, one basket at a time. With every basket purchased, part of the proceeds will go to sending a "You Are" gift to a woman chosen at random several times throughout each year.
